Tietjen team welcomes new managing director
For Tietjen, 2019 is not only the year of our 60th anniversary, but also a year full of changes and new beginnings.
After the long-standing managing director and shareholder, Mr. Reimer Tietjen, left the management after 34 years at the beginning of the new year, there is now a successor for this responsible task. As of summer 2019, Mr. Heiko Otte-Witte will strengthen the team of around 50 employees as technical managing director. He has many years of professional experience in the field of process engineering and, among other things, has been able to gain well-founded management experience at Buhler AG for 18 years. However, Mr. Tietjen will not completely leave the company, but will continue to advise in the background, as well as support ongoing projects.
From 1985, Mr. Tietjen was responsible for the further and new development of his own products and determined the international orientation of the company in mechanical and plant engineering from 1993 to 2011. Since 2012, he has been responsible for all technical aspects of the rapidly growing business areas, while Mr. Thomas Runde has been responsible for the commercial management since 2014. This proven dual leadership of technical and commercial managing director will thus continue in the future.
"We especially thank Reimer Tietjen for his visionary work, for his social competence in the daily interaction and the special creativity regarding innovative products. At the same time, I am very much looking forward to the strengthening of our team and working in cooperation with Mr. Otte-Witte. I am very confident that together we will shape a successful future for Tietjen." says Thomas Runde, Managing Director of Tietjen Verfahrenstechnik GmbH.
