HIGH-PRECISION CONTROL FOR GRINDING SYSTEMS
Its main task is to control the rotation speed of the electric drive, which regulates dosing depending on the load placed on the grinding mill.
The current that is drawn by the drive motor of the hammer mill is measured by means of a current transformer or transmitted by a frequency inverter and compared with the setpoint value at the controller input. The resulting control difference becomes the control value in the controller. The signal controls the downstream actuator (frequency inverter/JT controller). The controller can be operated in three different modes: In automatic mode, in manual mode or by means of a control via an external setpoint.
In addition, the controller offers useful functions such as time-independent parameter set switching or, alternatively, a warm-up ramp. Moreover, it is possible to define threshold values that trigger a shutdown of the controller and therefore also shut down the feeder system in the event of a mill overload.
The TCU 96 can also be supplied with a specially developed web application on request.
This is configured to allow just the operation of the plant or to also allow remote commissioning and optimisation. The corresponding configuration parameters for these modes are therefore only accessible through a password-protected portal and in a separate configuration environment. In operation, the controller can be operated without password protection.
