Hammer Mill W
Grinding of fresh wood with up to 60% residual moisture
- For products with up to 60% residual moisture
- Also for large pieces of material that are difficult to crush
- Ideal for medium throughputs
- Quick and easy screen change during standstill
Recommended for
For Grinding Wet Wood and Moist or Sticky Products
The wide-chamber mill W was specially developed for grinding wet or moist wood. A special housing geometry prevents sticking due to the material moisture in the grinding chamber. The machine grinds both hardwood and softwood with a water content of up to 60 %. It is also suitable for other products that tend to stick due to a high fat content, for example.
Take Advantage of These Benefits
Efficient Grinding of Moist or Sticky Products
- For products with up to 60 % water content or tendency to adhere
- Optimised impact zone with hardened impact plates on both sides of the inlet
- Rotor design also suitable for large pieces of material that are difficult to shred
- Variable grist spectrum by adjusting the beater circumferential speed (when using a frequency converter), the screen perforation and the beater configuration
Reliable Operation and Long Service Life
- Robust welded steel construction for continuous industrial operation (24/7)
- Grinding chamber equipped with wear elements to protect the housing, easy to change
- Durable, optimised rotor design, dynamically balanced, operation in both directions of rotation
- To protect the screens: foreign body catch trap for impurities inside the grinding chamber
Reliable Operation and Long Service Life
- Rotor with short run-down time < 6 min without brake
- Wide-opening doors allow easy and quick access to the machine interior
- 2-part screen segments without frame, easy and quick to change segment by segment
High Safety of Personnel and Plant
- Standstill monitoring with door safety device
- ATEX design according to zone 21 (II 2 D) inside and zone 22 (II 3 D) outside optionally possible
Hardened impact plates
Extra wide mill housing
Pneumatically operated inlet flap (option)
