Rotary valves are used to transport or dose bulk materials such as cereal products, powders, wood chips and fibrous conveyed goods. The design is individually customised to the product to be conveyed.
The rotary valves can also be supplied as a protective system, depending on the type of use. In this case, they are used for explosion decoupling in the feed and discharge channels of a grinding system. The shutdown controls of the valves react to pressure increases within the system or to the triggering of explosion relief valves. Tietjen uses rotary valves as type-tested protection systems for explosion decoupling that are resistant against ignition and flame puncture.
