Tumbler screening machines are used for a wide range of separation tasks in the bulk materials industry, from protective screening to dedusting. They are particularly suitable for fine and ultra-fine screening as well as high demands on screening accuracy, e.g. prior to the extrusion of petfood. The material to be screened is fed centrally onto the round screen and is transported spirally outwards over the screen surface by the tumbling motion. Small particles fall through the sieve openings shortly after they enter the machine, and the borderline particles (particles of a size close to the mesh size) that are difficult to sieve are screened out by the long dwell time during the spiral movement.

Fine products in particular tend to clog the sieve openings. To prevent this, the tumbler screening machine can be equipped with various very effective screen cleaning devices (rapping balls, ultrasound, etc.). The design of the machine (number of decks, product guidance, sieve cleaning) and the tumbler movement can be individually adapted to the product to be sieved. The individual fractions are discharged via lateral outlets.
