Energy Efficiency and Flexibility in One System
The combination of a GD 20 grinding module with crossyoke plansifter 1500 gives the operator the flexibility to change the process according to the grain size of the raw material required.
The operator can decide whether the mixture of raw materials should first be ground and the crossyoke plansifter only used as a control sifter, or whether the process should proceed according to the ‘cyclic grinding concept’. In this process, the crossyoke plansifter is used both as a pre-sifter and control sifter.
Formulas in which raw materials have a high percentage of fine particles are suitable for cyclic grinding (e.g. when they contain large quantities of meat and bone meal or other meal).
The cyclic grinding concept enables the particles to be classified. For example, particles larger than 600 µm would be sent to the grinding module, and those smaller than 600 µm to the main mixer. This enables considerable savings to be achieved in energy and spare parts for the hammer mill.
